Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Maggie, a Chicago-based photographer, writer, and researcher. I have a day job in marketing and content strategy, and side passions and projects in writing and photography, that I feature here.

You can find my history blog here and on Substack (for the full content), along with some of the behind-the-scenes views on the research and other musings, as I dig more into the past to share the stories from those who may be in my family tree, and as I pursue a graduate degree in history.

My photography developed from a desire to capture what I see, as I see it. As I started traveling when I was young I wanted to remember moments big and small in the adventures. That interest has developed into capturing candid moments in portrait shoots, the raw beauty of a natural landscape from a hiking trip, or the bustling energy of a city street. My goal is to capture the essence of each moment and bring it to life through my photography.
